It's been a while since I have posted, but I have so many things that I have been working on that I just had to share in my excitement. The first project I'm going to share is my new fully editable Camping Themed Planner for 2014-2015. I absolutely LOVE it! I have been wanting to do an editable planner for awhile and include a few additions, but I went way beyond on this planner. There is extra clip art in strategic places, that is relevant to what that page is about, editable tables and text boxes, and new pages! There are 331 pages for you to choose what works best for you! Here's some of the highlights!

Very Detailed 2-page Table of Contents

This is the actual Math Station Rotation Schedule I am going to use this year to teach WHOLE GROUP Math. This is my first block. We are departmentalized, so I will have 4 Whole Group Math classes that follow this schedule. I can't wait to put this in action! My goal is to reach MORE students and not give them the opportunity to tune out or not participate. Look for updates on my new Quest for Student Success for All!

Great for keeping students and parents accountable for the students learning their multiplication facts beginning in 3rd grade and later if they still haven't mastered then by the end of 3rd grade.

I absolutely love how this planner turned out. I didn't previously have a camping themed planner and this was so fun to create. All forms are editable upon download in this planner. No additional downloads or emails. If you have any questions about this planner, please feel free to ask. If you like the style, but prefer a different theme, please check out my other planners at my TPT store.

Organization might not be everything, but it sure helps! Here's hoping you have a Super Awesome School Year!

Common Core Lesson Planning Made Easy

How many times have you found great materials to use for your lesson in Common Core, saved them in a file for later, and then forgot about them? With the rigor of the Common Core, I have created a form to help make your lesson planning easy for CC Math and CC ELA. It includes all the crucial pieces of the Common Core's High Expectations: Vocabulary, Activities, Technology, Websites, and Assessments.

Here's how it works. When you first download your file that I've created, go ahead and print all the pages that have each standard listed on the top and your cover page and a handful of pages for NOTES, which I have also included. Put these in a 3-ring binder in the order you teach them, or in the order they are listed in your Common Core Standards master list. As you get ready to teach a standard or as you find great materials, write down the names of the Activities, Promethean/Smart Board files, Websites, and Assessments you plan to use. Don't forget to include Key Vocabulary for that standard. The beauty of putting them in a 3-ring binder is that you can print a copy of anything you plan on using for that standard and add it to your binder RIGHT BEHIND the lesson planning page, so you have it for visual reference. How cool is that??? More importantly, how organized does that make you? Then, when you are ready to do your official lesson plans that you turn in to your administrators, you have a great place to start with all the crucial pieces ready to document. You can use the NOTES page that I've included in the file to jot down any thoughts, ideas, descriptions, or reflections about that standard and include it behind the resources for that standard that you included in your notebook.

Here's what the blank forms look like for 3rd Grade Math:

Guided Math Groups Records

Guided Math Groups Records

Found this cool way to track students in their common core standards progress for small group instruction. I don't know how to build this in Google Docs, but I am going to try to figure it out. Thought I would share in case others may be interested.

Ultimate Teacher Planner - Organization Tool

Hope everyone is having a great summer. I spent most of my summer preparing for another great year in 2nd grade, but just recently found out that I will be moving to 3rd Grade Math. Though totally unexpected, I have come to accept my new position and look forward to instilling the love of math into my new 3rd graders and continuing that love of math for my returning Flip Flops that were in my class (Miller's Flip Flops) last year. I have never looped before so I am looking forward to teaching my students again this year in addition to those who were not in my homeroom. At our school, we departmentalize grades 3-5, so I will only be teaching 3rd grade Math this year. I LOVE Math, so this is going to be a great year! Wish me luck on my new venture :)

In preparation for this school year, I have created several planners to help keep me organized. I, of course, will be using my FLIP FLOP-THEMED Ultimate Teacher Planner. I also have an adorable DOG-themed Ultimate Teacher Planner and a super cute Breast Cancer-themed Ultimate Teacher Planner. All proceeds from the sales of my Breast Cancer-themed Ultimate Teacher Planner will go towards the HOPE WALK for Breast Cancer this fall. I walk in honor of my sisters and friends each year.
